ENCHANTE CHAPTER 2

"Thanks."

In a soft voice, I bowed politely to my classmates, who were clapping and applauding as he finished my introduction.

“You can sit at the empty table. We'll start the lesson shortly. ”

Hearing the teacher say that, Theo nodded and walked down the classroom, passing the tables that were paired in pairs. At the end of the class there was an empty table. He looked for a moment, realizing that this was the only place which was not occupied by anyone. There are 2 tables placed parallel to each other, near the trash can, in the corner of the classroom. The other table is placed next to another already occupied table.

"May I ... Ah, can I sit here?"

He almost spoke English as usual, but remembered it and changed it to Thai in time. The question was a bit blunt, but he spoke whatever he could remember in Thai.

"Sit down, no one's sitting here."

The person sitting next to the empty table agreed easily. He looked at Theo for a moment, then focused his attention on the blackboard ahead, as if there were so many interesting things on it. He just shrugged unconcerned, sat down in the chair, and put his bag in the desk drawer.

"I'm Theo."

He introduced himself to the person beside him. It seems that Theo's first new friend at this school is not very hospitable. Well, still better than not having friends.

"A hybrid?" – A low voice resounded.

"Um, half French blood." – Theo beamed. The boy on the other side turned to look at him, then turned away.

“The eye color is so beautiful. It's my first time seeing someone with blue eyes in real life. It's usually only seen on TV. ” – The other man muttered in his mouth.

"Um, what's your name?" – It was Theo's turn to ask again.

“I'm Ak. O-ang but not A-kạt, kho-khoai, kho-khoai with command is Ak.”

*Ak's name is อั ค ค์, consisting of 1 o-ang + 2 kho khai and adding a Command, So Ak's name reads evil, but it's not because it has a commandment mark so the last ค will not read.

[T/N: อั is o-ang, ค is kho khai which occurs twice. But the last one has a hyphen on it which changes its meaning.]

He said his name, then spelled out each word clearly. It was easy to guess how difficult it was for Theo to pronounce names.

"A good name. You're also a hybrid?" – Theo opens up the conversation between the two.

"Ah, that's not it." – Ak replied.

“I asked because your hair is brown."

He was confused, taking a closer look at Ak's hair to make sure he wasn't mistaken. The boy's hair on the side table was pure black, and when the light shone, it turned brown like it is now. Clear dark brown. It's just the sunlight through the window and that's the same. If he's standing in the sun, Ak's hair will turn even darker brown.

“I don't know. I was born with that color.” – Ak simply stated.

“It's very beautiful. If you're standing under bright sunlight, it will have even more beautiful color. " – Theo said.

"Because of this hair color, my parents named me Ak." – The boy revealed his name.

"Ah." - He did not ask again, although he himself did not fully understand.

“Yeah, I don't know. Ak in the word Akkhi. Meaning ‘fire (fai) *’. They gave it this name, because the hair color is like a brown flame.” – Ak added, because just by looking at his facial expression, he knew he didn't understand.
* Fire in Thai is อัคคี (akkhi). Ak's name from here is just different. ไฟ (fai) means fire, this is a borrowed word from the English language fire.

"Oh, that explains." – Theo smiled.

“Do you have any friends here? I heard you just transferred schools, right?" – he questioned in interest.

“Yes, I just moved back to school this term. Plus the passport will expire soon, so it was convenient to come back to Thailand during this time. Moreover I am slow to make friends.” – Theo explained.

"Yeah." - Ak nodded.

"But now there is a friend." – He smiled happily.

"Who? Maybe we know each other. " – Ak tries to follow the conversation.
"It's Ak, my first friend." – He answered, making the other party laugh as well.
--------------------

RING!!

The bell rang to signal the end of the morning class. Students hurry to pack up. Each person bowed to the instructor before moving out of the classroom.

"Ak." - Theo raised his voice to call.

"What's wrong?" - The other person turned to look at him.

“Does Ak eat with anyone? Let's eat together. Because I don't know anyone yet. " - Theo smiled wryly.

“Alright, let's go. If we go late, the cafeteria will be crowded."

It didn't take him long to think about the offer, taking his handbag ahead to show him the way. Theo excitedly brought the bag along. Looks like he made his first friend at school.

--------------------

"What do you want to eat?"

Ak asked as the two were walking around in the dining hall looking for seats. Time to eat, so there are quite a few people, everyone is busy searching for the empty table.

"I don't know, haven't eaten here before." – He honestly answered. He doesn't even know what the restaurant has.

“So what do you usually eat? I'll go and buy that for you. One person can go to buy, the other will stay back to hold a place. If both of us go to buy food, ee will miss lunch time. So I'll go to buy rice, you stay back and reserve the seat.. ” – He explained.

“Noodles are fine. Because I can eat that dish. Noodles without any spices.” - Theo said for convenience purposes.

"Without spices, it would be dull." – Ak prompted lightly.

“It's okay. I prefer to eat that. Ak can go quickly, the line is getting longer. I'll stay to reserve the seats. Thank you very much.”

Because of his smiling habit, Ak no longer wondered and simply accepted the reason given by the other person. He handed him his bag for him to keep and then quickly line up at the noodle stall nearby.

“Nong.”

A soft voice was heard, drawing his attention from the cell phone in hand. From the tone and language, it was easy to guess that someone was not Ak, his classmate. Following his head up in the direction of the sound, in front of his eyes was a handsome white young man who he would not forget at once. He was the main vocalist of the band that Theo happened to meet earlier.

"Hello." – He politely replied.

“What's your name??”

Saifah freely conversed, his voice filled with the same confidence as his nature. Smooth white skin, no visible pores. Big round eyes, long curvy eyelashes. Pink lips that are always smiling.

“My name is Theo. What's your name? "

He responded with minimal courtesy. Saifah is a handsome guy, knows his own charms, and knows how to use it to his advantage thoroughly. It was only take a glance that would make Theo attracted to his attractive face.

“Saifah. You can call me P’Fah.”

Saifah answered. Theo looked at Ak's back, who was lining up at the noodle stall. It must take a while, because there are still 10 people waiting ahead.

"Nice to meet you, P’Saifah.” – he smiled.

“N’Theo is so cute.”

Saifah spoke frankly. On the contrary Theo just raised his eyebrows, OK, he used to be in Western culture, 'flirting' is nothing new to him anymore. Just can't think of Theo facing this on his own in Thailand, at the first class, with the man in front of him. Since when has Thailand been open to homosexuality?

“Thank you, P’Saifah.” – He couldn't think what he should answer with the sudden praise from his senior.

“Can you please call me P’Fah? All my close friends call me Fah. And I think Theo is close to me too." The senior in front of me said, not forgetting to give me a sunny smile.

“Yes, P’Fah.” - He accepted.

“Does N’Theo has a lover yet?”

Saifah continued to ask without even caring, not trying to give him a way back. His gaze pushing him to answer.

“Em…” – Theo hesitated.

“Don't answer, it depends on the person asking. Because I'm Saifah, so N’Theo please choose a suitable answer for me. ” – Beautiful eyes stare at him, wanting to convey his feelings burning like a brilliant candle to Theo.

"Ah." – He was confused.

"Still single, right?"

Saifah smirked, making the person in front of him not understand his real mind at this moment. He was really handsome, his sharp lines made his heart beat in an instant.

"Yes." - Theo does not deny.

“So, P’Saifah can chase N’Theo right? ”

The sweet voice resounded. His bluntness embarrassed Theo. Without looking into the mirror, Theo could guess how red his face was.

“No question mark needed.”

[T/N: The following conversation between Saifah and Theo will be in English. These dialogues are said in English originally.]

Saifah switched to American English accent. Not too much, Theo had to compliment the person's pronunciation which was quite clear. The standard vocalization made Saifah's voice more attractive.

“Sounds nice and understandable.”

He answered in a more relaxed way. Using English, makes him no longer worry about choosing which words to say accordingly. He uses the French-English accent as a habit.

“I don't think your words require an answer.”

Saifah beamed, showing off his white teeth and curved lips. These handsome men are not ashamed at all because of the words spoken in new language.

“Interesting.”

“What kind? Are you interested in me or my voice?"

Saifah lifted his hand, lifted his chin and his sweet gaze was directed only at him. If he accepts the other party, then this smile definitely shows his feelings clearly.

“Secret!”

Theo smirked back.
